Nested Fried Egg Laksa.
Have you ever taste a food called laksa? I bet most Malaysians have taste it. However, there is an innovated version of laksa called Nested Fried Egg Laksa or in Malay called Laksa Telur Goreng Bersarang. Originally, the laksa was sold at pasar malam and because of the delicious taste of the laksa, now the vendor has its own restaurant. Located at No.1,Jalan Margosa D/8,Seri Margosa,Taman Seri Botani, it provides comfort to the customers as it is easy to access for people from Ipoh as the place is far from the traffic congestion area. About the food, the sauce is very tasty and the fry egg arouse the aroma of the laksa itself. I never know the fry egg is very suitable to be used in laksa and now I know it. There are also add-on such as fish cakes and fish balls that come with extra price. From my opinion, the addition of nested fried egg is unique that make the laksa differs from the other laksa outsied there. Undoubtly, it is one of the best laksa in town!

D’Patin Temerloh and Grill
Upon the given name, I am sure all of you know the special menu offered by this restaurant. I was searching for Patin fish after a long time I had not eaten it. Then I asked my friend and he suggested me this shop. Patin fish cooked with tempoyak really challenge my test bud. The golden color of the sauce makes an attraction to me. The soft texture of the fish Is easy to chew and the gravy is quite spicy, which I like it.The price is quite reasonable with the quantity offered. A bowl of patin fish priced at RM10.

Nasi Kandar ‘Ganja’.
Ever heard about this food? If you are curious about the name, don’t worry there is no drugs in the food People keep telling it nasi ganja because they are addicted to the food and the small restaurant is always full with people. The menu is just the same as the ordinary nasi kandar restaurant. The price is reasonable as you can get a plate of rice with chicken and some vegetables for RM 6.00. Fish are also served in this restaurant. Don’t worry about the name, just go and eat here.

Mee Kari Kak Yah.
To me, this restaurant is quite unique and worth to be review because they have plenty of choices on their menu which is for a breakfast only (I will list out menu later. This restaurant is open in the morning only (but still, it will open till 12pm so you can have a Brunch also , but some of the menu may not be available).
The foods are nice. There are plenty of choices for your breakfast. There are Mee Kari, Bihun Sup, Kway Teow Kicap, Wantan Ayam, Cheong Fun (most of this is Chinese food, I like!). Got Mee/Bihun/Kway Teow Goreng, Nasi Lemak, Half Boiled Egg with Bread, Roti Bakar, Malay Kuih Muih, and many more that I can’t recall. Unfortunately no Roti Canai~Basically, all the food was nice and worth trying. But I recommend you to try the Curry Mee and the Mee Hoon Soup.
The price is affordable, if not cheap. Most of the price range for the food is below RM5.Environment: Normal street restaurant environment. Ah btw, this restaurant also has a branch, near the Carsem Factory, Meru Ipoh. The branch are more proper in terms of the restaurant environment.

Cendol.
Drive along Jalan Bunga Raya in Pasir Pinji and you will see a few food trucks there. There are two chendol stalls, one by an Indian uncle and another one by 2 Chinese uncle. We picked the latter and had a cooling bowl of dessert in the sweltering heat. Their cendol includes red beans, gula melaka and chendol strips with pandan fragrance. They are always famous for their “Wan Tau Long” jelly or Yellow Jelly which is perfect for the hot weather. This stall opens in the afternoon only, and does not have fixed rest days.
